Narragansett Sailing & Boating School invites sailors and boating enthusiasts from across New England to join two special events celebrating learning, community, and the start of the sailing season on April 25 and April 26, 2026 at Cove Haven Marina in Barrington, Rhode Island.

The weekend begins with the Women in Sailing Conference on Saturday, April 25, a full day dedicated to empowering women on the water. Participants will enjoy a series of practical workshops and on-the-water experiences designed to improve skill and knowledge in a supportive environment. Sessions will include topics such as marine diesel basics, boat electrical systems, navigation, docking techniques, and short sailing practice on Narragansett Bay. The conference also provides a great opportunity to meet fellow sailors from around the region, exchange experiences, and network during a relaxed community lunch.

On Sunday, April 26, the school will host a Sailing & Boating Open House and Community Conference, open to anyone (male and female) interested in boating—from beginners curious about sailing to experienced boat owners looking to expand their skills. Workshops and demonstrations will run throughout the day, covering topics such as marine electrical systems, diesel maintenance, navigation, docking techniques, provisioning, and introductory sailing experiences on the water.

These two events are designed to bring together sailors from across New England, offering a welcoming environment to learn new skills, gain confidence on the water, and connect with others who share a passion for boating.
