Ancasta Group has announced the acquisition of Hayling Island-based Penguin Engineering, further strengthening its growing portfolio of specialist marine businesses and expanding its refit, repair and aftersales capabilities.

The strategic acquisition will complement the services already delivered through Ancasta Yacht Services, adding Penguin Engineering's specialist product knowledge and established supply network to the Group's comprehensive marine support offering.

For Ancasta customers, the acquisition represents another step towards providing a fully integrated ownership service, with access to an increasingly broad range of aftersales support, high-quality marine equipment and specialist repair services from within the Group.

Founded in 1982, Penguin Engineering has established a strong reputation within the UK marine industry over more than four decades. The company supplies an extensive portfolio of carefully selected European marine equipment and onboard systems, supported by spare parts, technical advice and personalised service throughout the lifetime of each product.

Penguin Engineering is also a long-standing equipment supplier to marine engineers and bespoke boatbuilders across the UK, serving sectors ranging from small commercial and leisure craft to superyachts and leading British powerboat manufacturers.

The company is the sole UK importer for a number of specialist marine equipment brands, including Eno, Force 10, Barka, ATI calorifiers, Carbonautica, Atlas Filtri water filtration systems and Teak Wonder.

Penguin Engineering will retain its established name as it becomes part of the Ancasta Group of companies, ensuring continuity for its existing customers, suppliers and partners while benefiting from the wider resources and expertise of the Group.

Matthew Shave, CEO of Ancasta Group, comments: "We're delighted to welcome Penguin Engineering and its team into the Ancasta Group.

"Penguin Engineering is a highly respected business with a reputation built over many years on technical expertise, trusted products and excellent customer service. Those values align closely with our own.

"The acquisition brings additional knowledge and capability into the Group, further strengthening the refit, repair and aftersales support we can provide to our customers. Our aim is to make boat ownership as straightforward and well supported as possible, with trusted expertise and services available throughout the ownership lifecycle."
