Aquila launches 45 Sail

Aquila Catamarans has launched the second model in its sailing range with the Aquila 45, which debuted at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026. The 45 Sail builds on Aquila's reputation for livable design while continuing its new, dedicated range of sailing catamarans.
At 47'2" length overall with a 25'5" beam, the 45 Sail delivers generous interior volume, social spaces both inside and out, comfort for extended cruising, and genuine sailing capability.
A fixed bow provides an additional deck space, with comfortable seating and a sun pad. Aquila's signature bridge-to-bow access, which features on the 50 Sail and Yacht models, means guests can move freely around the boat, connecting naturally to the open flybridge helm area. This area features a U-shaped seating area, a coffee table, and a forward-facing settee which turns the flybridge into an additional gathering space. The layout comfortably seats five, with handrails and stainless steel features positioned for secure movement under way.
The aft cockpit has been designed as another of the 45 Sail's exterior social hubs. A dining table seats up to eight, while a dedicated bar area, BBQ/plancha station, and lounge seating complete the space. The cockpit flows directly into the 45 Sail's salon and galley through a sliding aluminum door and slide-down bar window, keeping the entire main deck connected.
Panoramic windows carry natural light throughout the interior spaces, reinforcing the sense of openness. The salon seats six around an L-shaped settee, and the galley is fitted with a full-size French door refrigerator, induction cooktop, and Corian countertops to facilitate comfortable extended cruising.
Below deck, the 45 Sail offers buyers a choice between three and four cabin layouts, each with private entrances and en-suite heads with showers, allowing the 45 Sail to comfortably sleep up to 12 guests. An optional forepeak crew cabin adds further flexibility for owners running the boat with a professional crew, enabling the 45 Sail to be set up to suit private owners or charter operators.
The 45 Sail has been built with the same sailing capabilities as the Aquila 50 Sail. A two-spreader sectional mast rises 70'7" above the waterline and carries a full mainsail and furling genoa for a total upwind sail area of 1,351.9 square feet, extendable with an optional square-top mainsail or a 1,200-square-foot gennaker. Twin Volvo Penta 50HP saildrives provide standard auxiliary power, with 60HP Volvo Penta or 57HP Yanmar options available.
A C-Zone digital switching system monitors and controls power, water, and waste throughout the boat, with live tank levels visible from multiple stations.
The 45 Sail is built using resin-infused vinylester construction for the hull, deck, and bulkheads, with no wood in any structural components. This is a build approach Aquila deploys across its sail and power ranges for durability and strength.
