Nokia Joins Pittwater Boat Show as a sponsor

by Jonathan Watcham on 10 Oct 2005
Nokia Australia has joined the Pittwater Boat Show as a sponsor of the event, which starts at the Royal Motor Yacht Club in Newport on Friday 11 November and runs until Sunday 13 November 2005.

Commenting on the sponsorship agreement, event director Nik Ehnbom said it was an exciting moment. “Nokia has been closely associated with yachting and the marine industry. This sponsorship is a great moment for the Pittwater Boat Show.”

Nokia is in good company along with Volvo, Sunsail and Sail-World.com who are also sponsoring the inaugural event – marking the return of a large-scale show to Pittwater and the Northern Beaches of Sydney.

More than 12,000 members of the public are expected to visit the Pittwater Boat Show over three days where they will be treated to a marina full of the latest sailing and powerboats available in Australia. Big names like Riviera, Beneteau, Bavaria, Seawind Catamarans and Larson will be there, amongst others. On land an array of trailer-boats, equipment and accessory manufacturers, clothing suppliers and sailing schools will exhibit their good and services in both a covered pavilion and in open-air space.

A sailing holiday to the Whitsundays from Sunsail Yacht Charters and a live event by radio station Mix 106.5 FM are just some of the exciting things also happening at the Pittwater Boat Show. See the website for more details: www.pittwaterboatshow.com.au

The 2005 Pittwater Boat Show is an event being staged by Liquidity Sports and will be held at the Royal Motor Yacht Club, Broken Bay in Newport NSW. For more information about the boat show, or details about exhibiting please contact Event Director, Nik Ehnbom on (02) 9977 4889 or 0400 152770, or send an email to Nik at nike@liquiditysports.com.au
