Unexpected death of Nick Dewhirst

by Bob Carter & William Sunnucks 20 Jul 2013 15:21 UTC 19 July 2013

It is with great sadness we have to let you know of the unexpected death of the Sprint 15 Class Chairman, Nick Dewhirst on Friday 19 July. Nick passed away suddenly whilst at home in Whitstable.

Nick has been the leading light of the Sprint 15 Association for more than 25 years. Nick was also the Chairman of the SCHRS (Small Catamaran Handicap Rating System) committee and the long time Chairman of UKCRA (UK Catamaran Racing Association). He will be sadly missed.

Our thoughts are with his wife Sissy and sons Oliver and Benedict at this difficult time.
