Since the last post, much has changed. I have a water tight platform that really stands out from the crowd.
In the last week, the deck area has been laminated up, all bulk heads and foil case have been bonded in and deck has been glued and mostly taped on.
The big news is Allen Brothers are now on board with the project and are supplying me with the hardware to fit the boat out. This is a really exciting step forward for me to have the support from them going forward in this new venture.
A big thank you also has to go to Kingfisher Yacht Rope, for their continued support that they have shown me for the best part of a decade!
Valkyrie has now come out to see the light of day and made the journey to its new home at Grafham Water, to have the final work done. Next up is the final taping of the seam between hull and deck and re enforcement of the mainsheet/kicker tack bridge. Then it will be control systems, rig and gantry.
I am still on track for a launch around the end of April.
Thank you to the continued help and support from:
- Allen Brothers
- Kingfisher yacht rope
- Turning the Tide project
- Atomik UK High performance sailing
- Easy Composites
