Internationally renowned champagne brand Maison Mumm, in its quest for excellence and passion for innovation, has joined the 36th America’s Cup presented by Prada as official champagne partner.

As the official champagne, Mumm will be present at all the America’s Cup events starting with the America’s Cup World Series in 2019-2020, throughout 2021 at the Prada Cup (the Challenger Selection Series) and the America’s Cup Match in Auckland.

The America’s Cup is the oldest trophy in international sport and is also the most challenging competitive sailing event, combining the best athletes with cutting-edge technology. Within this competition, the Maison shares the values that it has held since its creation in 1827.

The brand has indeed a long history of sports sponsorship, since 1970s it has supported more than 40 major sailing events, and it is now returning to the America’s Cup for the second time since taking part in the 25th edition in 1983.

“We are delighted to welcome back the Maison Mumm after 35 years” said Grant Dalton, CEO of America’s Cup Event Ltd. “For nearly two centuries Maison Mumm has a story based on tradition and pushing for innovation, which perfectly summarizes the next America’s Cup. With the AC75 Class of boats we want to open new horizons for racing yachts, being at the high end of technology, while respecting the unique history of the trophy.”

“Throughout its 167 year history, the America’s Cup has been punctuated with celebratory moments. As Challenger of Record, the organisers of the preliminary regattas including the Prada Cup – the Challenger Selection Series, we are very pleased to welcome Mumm as the official champagne partner to the America’s Cup presented by Prada and to continue this tradition,” said Laurent Esquier, CEO of the Challenger of Record for the 36th America’s Cup.
