Experienced sailor and tracking expert Jan Hamann, Sail'n Fly, has been appointed TracTrac country partner for Germany. The inclusion of Jan Hamann to the team extends TracTrac presence in central Europe and deepens the relationship to SAP Sailing.

In addition to being a qualified sailing instructor and passionate lifelong sailor, Jan has worked with delivery of technology services to sailing since 2014. These services include drones, live production and live tracking, most recently as Head of IT Services and Event Operations at SailTracks. Jan has played a key role in the application of SAP Sailing Analytics and worked with events as diverse as the Sailing World Cup, Sailing Champions League, 49er, 5o5 and other class World Championships.

Jan's passion for sailing has been the pivot point between his professional and personal life and this is the factor that makes him stand out for his new role with TracTrac.

As Jan Hamann explains: "I'm very excited about this partnership. I already know how the TracTrac business works, but I'm looking forward to the new experiences and possibilities it can offer and I'm sure there's much more that I can learn. My goal is not only to make sailing visible, but also to support it, as well as to get engaged in other trackable sports, and TracTrac is the perfect fit for this plan."

"We couldn't imagine anyone better suited to join the team and our aspiration to provide the best possible live tracking service to large and small events around the world", says TracTrac Managing Director, Chris Terkelsen. "Jan's experience speaks for itself. Everyone knows Jan for his good spirits and attention to delivering an outstanding service. In addition, his track record with SAP will help further deepen our close partnership with SAP Sailing."

TracTrac was founded in 2005 and is a leading provider of high-quality live tracking to sailing and other hard-to-follow sports. With the inclusion of Jan Hamann as partner for Germany, TracTrac now has a presence, via local partners, in 9 countries around the world, which in addition to Germany are Australia, Austria, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Norway, South Africa and Switzerland.
