Wooden Boat Festival!

Renowned boat systems expert Nigel Calder, acclaimed for his bestselling books including "Boatowner's Mechanical and Electrical Manual," returns to Wooden Boat Festival this year to give his invaluable seminars on Marine Diesel Engines and Boat Electrical Systems. These sessions promise participants a deeper understanding of their vessels and the confidence to carry out routine maintenance.
Boaters worldwide rely on Nigel Calders books about boat maintenance and marine diesel engines. He has also written over 200 magazine articles, Nigel Calder's Cruising Handbook, How to Read a Nautical Chart and cruising guides for sailors heading to the Northwest Caribbean and Cuba.

The diesel engine is a critically important piece of safety equipment aboard any cruising boat. In this session, you willl learn about maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques for common diesel engine problems. Leave with the confidence to perform routine maintenance on your diesel engine, which alone will save you the price of admission.

Boat Electrical Systems Design, Installation, and Troubleshooting
Friday, Sept 8 | 8 AM to 3 PM | $125
Electrical systems are now the number one cause of problems on boats that have anything more than rudimentary electronics. This workshop will help you understand your own electrical systems and nip many common problems in the bud. The overarching goal is to raise the confidence levels of boat owners with todays increasingly electrically-loaded and complicated boats.
