Day #2 Leaders
Racing started early today, with one race held under the strong Pelèr breeze to bring all competitors to four valid scores.
Three additional races followed, bringing the total to seven and marking the end of qualifications with a solid outcome.
Once again, the French duo Alexandre Mostini and Raphael Allain proved dominant, leading the standings with 8 points and an impressive five race wins. Swiss sailors Ikke Huber and Liam Berger, third at last July's Europeans, climb to second place, while their teammates Jacob Ryiu Brundler and Thierry Stucki slip to third, five points off the lead.
Szymon Kolka and Batosz Zmudinski from Poland, third in the overall EuroCup ranking and tenth at both the European and World Championships, move up to fourth, followed by Jac Bailey and Ben Sinfield from Great Britain in fifth.
Czechs Karolina Lajkova and Peter Pelnar, today's best mixed crew, are in seventh place.
Among the female teams, Bianca Marchesini and Lucia Finato from Italy continue to lead, confirming their place within the overall Top Ten.
Also noteworthy is the comeback of French sailors Nolann Huet Des Aunay and Titouan Gresset: the leaders of the EuroCup ranking have re-entered the top group, now ninth overall, just ahead of the World Champions and second in the EuroCup standings, Niklas Holt and Philip Forslund, who climbed from nineteenth to twelfth.
