LiTime Launches Argoseeker Electric Outboard Motors for Yacht Tenders and Small Craft

Whether your yacht or motor boat is anchored or on a mooring and you can't walk ashore, your tender is the essential link between boat and shore.
The distances may be short, but frequent loading, unloading, boarding and close-quarters maneuvering make weight, noise, storage, installation and handling just as important as propulsion itself.
Electric Propulsion and life on the water
As electric propulsion technology continues to develop, electric outboard motors are becoming an increasingly practical option for yacht tenders, inflatable boats and other lightweight recreational craft. For boat owners, the question is no longer simply how much power a motor can deliver, but how easily the complete propulsion system fits into everyday life on the water.
LiFePO4 power solutions brand LiTime is now extending its marine offering from batteries into electric propulsion with the launch of the Argoseeker electric outboard motors series. The first two models are the 24V 700W Argoseeker A1 and the 48V 2000W Argoseeker A2, designed for yacht tenders, inflatable boats, Jon boats, lightweight aluminium boats, kayaks, canoes and other small recreational craft.
The Argoseeker Series works with LiTime LiFePO4 batteries, bringing the motor, controller and battery together as a coordinated system to deliver a one-stop marine power solution that simplifies system matching, installation and day-to-day operation.
A One-Stop Marine Power Solution for Small Craft
Choosing an electric outboard involves more than motor power. Boat weight, expected range, battery capacity and system voltage also need to match.
Argoseeker combines the motor, controller and compatible LiTime batteries within one setup, reducing the complexity of selecting components separately.
Designed as main propulsion for small craft, Argoseeker supports yacht-to-shore transfers, recreational cruising, fishing and general boating. The electric drivetrain operates with low noise and vibration, produces no direct exhaust emissions during use, and requires less routine maintenance than conventional petrol outboards.
Two Power Options for Different Boats and Loads
Argoseeker A1: Lightweight Propulsion for Tenders and Small Craft
The Argoseeker A1 24V 700W Electric Outboard Motor a 24V 700W propulsion system delivering up to 60 lbs of thrust. The motor weighs approximately 13.4 lbs (6.1 kg). It is primarily designed for lightweight small craft such as kayaks, canoes, lightweight inflatable boats, and yacht tenders.
Under LiTime test conditions with a combined boat, passenger, battery, and equipment weight of approximately 330 lbs, the A1 achieved speeds of 4.3-6.2 mph. Depending on range requirements, it can be paired with a LiTime 24V 50Ah or 100Ah LiFePO4 battery.
Argoseeker A2: More Power for Higher Loads
For larger boats and higher-load applications, the Argoseeker A2 48V 2000W Outboard Motor steps up to a 48V 2000W system with a maximum thrust of 120 lbs.
It is designed for higher-load small craft with greater propulsion requirements, including Jon boats, lightweight aluminium boats, and larger inflatable boats.
Under LiTime test conditions with a combined boat, passenger, battery and equipment weight of approximately 660 lbs, the A2 achieved speeds of 5.6-7.5 mph.
Users can select from compatible LiTime 48V 30Ah, 60Ah or 100Ah LiFePO4 battery configurations according to boat size, load and desired range.
The A2 propeller assembly also incorporates an integrated cutting blade designed to help reduce entanglement from weeds and aquatic vegetation when operating in overgrown waters.
Three-Minute Clamp-On Installation for Easier Tender Use
For yacht tenders, propulsion equipment needs to do more than move the boat. It also needs to be practical to install, remove, carry and store.
Argoseeker uses a clamp-on transom mounting system that does not require permanent drilling or complex modifications to a suitable transom. Under appropriate installation conditions, the motor can be mounted and connected to the power supply in as little as approximately three minutes.
Actual installation time will vary depending on boat design, mounting position and operator experience.
This removable configuration is particularly useful for owners who want to preserve the original boat structure or who regularly transfer their electric boat motor between a yacht, tender, dock or vehicle.
Wireless Control and Cruise Control Add Flexibility on Board
Both Argoseeker A1 and A2 use a 2.4GHz wireless remote control system, supporting directional control, stepless speed adjustment, forward and reverse operation, and cruise control.
Rather than remaining beside the motor at the stern, the operator can select a more suitable position according to passenger seating, equipment layout and weight distribution within the boat.
Cruise control can maintain a selected speed during continuous travel, reducing the need for repeated throttle adjustments. During tender transfers, fishing or recreational cruising, wireless control also allows the operator to devote more attention to the route, docking position and surrounding water.
The underwater motor sections of both models are rated to IP68 for operation in marine environments. Installation, inspection and routine maintenance should still be carried out in accordance with the product manual and applicable local boating regulations.
