So the whales head up to see all the boats. They have the best GPS and Sonar going around - hardly ever fails... We have all of that now and the latest gear to run off your iPad means you can check out where and how you are doing any time you like. The crowd updating of localised intel is also very, very handy.
Still, our Admiralty Charts are fantastic, and given you will be close to lots of bricks, they are way more than essential. It is also good to have a copy of Beacon to Beacon with you, along with Alan Lucas' bible, Cruising the Coral Coast. Please see Boat Books for those.
On the aspect of bricks, we thought we would show you some of the ones you will pass on your way from Southern to Northern Queensland, along with other highlights. No matter if it is to help you with your first trip, or act as an Aide-Memoire for latter trips, it is here to help.
This is the first of the series and there will be some video to accompany the stills throughout the series. We go from the Gold Coast Seaway to Seventeen Seventy, which is above Hervey Bay and Bundaberg this time...
