NZ Rigging has opened a dedicated Rigging – service loft in Downtown Auckland, The new loft is located upstairs in the old sail loft in the Pier 21 yard located in Westhaven.

To celebrate the opening of the new facility NZ Rigging are offering massive discounts for Sail-World readers- 25% off all Running Rigging Ordered and delivered for the rest of March 2012.

The loft is step up to handle all types of rigging and service work and also is conveniently located in the heart of Westhaven. This allows for easy access to the surrounding marinas and also a convenient drop off and pickup point for service work.

The loft is fully fitted out with the following Rigging equipment:
• Roll swaging to 14mm
• Navtec Rod heading to -76
• Talurit pressing to 12mm

As well the rigging equipment the Rigging loft is fitted out with Light engineering equipment to allow maintenance and service work to be completed easily and effectively.

The Loft also carries a large range of products including, shackles, thimbles, Rope, Dynex, wire, swages, spinnaker pole ends etc in stock to allow for a quick turn around on repairs and service.

The loft offers a full rigging service including but not limited to the following:

New Zealand Spars and Rigging was founded by Richard Bearda – better known as Bart – in 2002, after he completed the Volvo Ocean Race, as shore crew with the race winning Illbruck Sailing Team. The company purchased Foster Masts in 2009, and is based at Northcote, and Westhaven, specialising in all aspects of sailing, from traditional dinghy classes, to grand prix racing and cruising projects, in alloy and carbon fibre. Its most high profile projects in recent years include the IRC52, Georgia, the 55 foot Living Doll, ten masts for the fleet of Cookson 50s, and 22 mast packages for the megayacht styled 40 footers, the Friendship 40, with Austral Yachts.
