While the World ARC team of yellow shirts have the ability to make almost everything happen, the weather unfortunately is not one of them.
Wednesday was meant to see the World ARC 2019-20 fleet depart Santa Marta for the San Blas Islands. However, a strengthening thermal trough interacting with high pressure to the north has meant conditions along the North West coast of Colombia are very windy resulting in a decision to delay the start of the next leg until conditions improve, hopefully in the next 24 hours.
Participants have already enjoyed a full programme of events but a bonus day added to the itinerary has provided many with the opportunity to see more of Colombia and the vibrant town of Santa Marta.
