After a two month stay in the French Polynesia many of the World ARC participants have recognised this as their favourite location, so far, in the Rally programme. With so many stunning coral atolls to explore it is hard to choose which destination has been the more picturesque and welcoming.

Now based in the final destination in the French Polynesia, Group 2 of the World ARC 2019-20 fleet crossed the start line today, Wednesday 22 May 2019, at 1200hrs, under glorious blue skies in the beautiful lagoon waters of Bora Bora.

First over the line was Resolute II closely followed by Endo2 and Peikea.

The fleet's first stop is Suwarrow which is a coral atoll located in the northern group of the Cook Islands. They will expect to reach the island by next Sunday and Monday. From there the route takes them on to the most western of the Cook Islands, Niue. The final destination for Leg 5 is Vava'u in Tonga.

We would like to thank Manager of the Bora Bora Yacht Club, Marc Sumbul, and all his dedicated staff for welcoming the World ARC Fleet to his scenic Yacht Club and for all the preparations in the background to ensure there are moorings available for the fleet as they arrive. The Club has provided crews with excellent facilities, a fabulous drinks reception, dining options throughout the day and a beautiful over the water deck area to relax and watch the magical sunsets.

On behalf of the World ARC fleet we would also like to thank all the islands which make up the archipelagos of the French Polynesia. It has been a very special experience for everyone and each participant goes away with precious memories of a very unique place.
