With Lunatix's arrival on the 19th of October and being the first boat to arrive, Marina Le Caudan started to fill with the World ARC fleet that after the long crossing finally gathered together again.

The last boat to arrive was Ice Bear that entered the marina the 26th early in the morning. Upon arrival each boat was welcomed by a beautiful fruit basket, some Gold of Mauritius Rum and their check in packs, each boat settled in one after the other after a long and tiring sail from Cocos Keeling.

Once all the vessels from the fleet have settled down and had a relaxing afternoon to socialise, tell the ocean stories and chow down on some food, the skippers of each vessel go through the necessary clearances with the local authorities.

Once cleared in, participants have the opportunity to explore the beautiful island of Mauritius and experience the wonders of this scenic and mysterious land.

Participants on Friday evening gathered all together at Le Suffren Hotel for happy hour; it was also the occasion to share stories about the crossing, Helmut from Babsea had a few minutes to give a speech in order to explain the dismasting situation that happened more then one thousand miles away from Mauritius and say a few words of appreciation to all the vessels involved in helping them and offer a drink to all the participants to celebrate a positive ending to the incident

On the following all participants went on the World ARC tour that included a visit to the magnificent botanical gardens and "L'Aventure du Sucre", a museum regarding the production and commerce of sugar in Mauritius.
