As we prepare for offshore cruising, our focus is so often on the boat and its equipment, that we tend to forget that the most important piece of equipment aboard is the crew. This course puts people back into the centre of the voyage.
Be clear about why you (and your partner) dream about bluewater cruising. Learn to communicate well with others aboard. Understand your and your partner's learning styles. Get a grip on your fears and anxieties. Bust some myths about safety. Gain skills that will help in your decision-making processes.
The Psychology of Voyaging is a two-day course is for individuals or partners who want to approach offshore cruising with their eyes wide open, minds clear, and hearts full. Join Rick Ellis for a weekend of building trust and confidence in the most important aspect of sailing: the humans. Read more about the course in this Currents article.
