Escape the Calgary winter and head back to the South Pacific with Pam and Ted Simper as they continue their exploration of tropical islands on their 40' Moody, Roundabout II.
In June 2017, they departed Whangarei, New Zealand bound for Savusavu, Fiji on the SE side of Vanua Levu to visit friends and see the island of Taveuni, before moving on to explore the western side of Fiji.
From Fiji, it was west to southern Vanuatu, visiting the islands of Aneityum and Tanna - home to Mt. Yasur, the famous volcano named "the Lighthouse of the South Pacific" by Captain Cook.
From Vanuatu, they sailed on to New Caledonia where they spent two months exploring and enjoying the French way of life. As the cruising season drew to a close, they headed for Bundaberg, Australia.
