About the Instructor
Kevin Monahan is an extremely experienced professional mariner with more than 20 years as a Coast Guard captain on the BC coast. He knows these water as well as anyone can. He's an exceptional instructor as well. BCA has been fortunate to have him teach Basic- and Advanced Radar, as well as Weather Strategies for the Inside Passage. Furthermore, he's written the book on tides and currents-literally-he is the author of Ports and Passes as well as The Radar Book.
Course Format
Join Kevin and the online crew for two nights. Each night there will be two hours of presentation, followed by half hour of questions. The course will be offered "COVID-style": online. We'll use the Zoom program and cap the number of participants at 25 to keep Q&A manageable.
