Fair winds and following seas to Lieutenant Commander Andrew Callander aka 'Captain Kenny' who has completed his final voyage in command of STS Young Endeavour.

Captain Kenny has made a huge contribution to the Young Endeavour Program over many years. He has been posted to the ship three times during his naval career, crewing 68 youth development voyages in addition to Young Endeavour's 2015 World Voyage and many special events and returnee voyages. As watch leader, navigator, watch officer, sailmaster and captain, Kenny has supported close to 2,000 young Australians as they completed the Young Endeavour Youth Development Program.

In his own words, from his final voyage log, Captain Kenny said, "To all the youth crew and staff crew I have sailed with over my eight year association with Young Endeavour, encompassing three separate postings in a variety of roles... thanks for the memories. It's you that make the program the success it has been over the past 33 years!"

"Wishing you all fair winds and following seas. For the final time...Captain Kenny...out!"

We wish Captain Kenny all the best in his future endeavours.

Looking for your next adventure? STS Young Endeavour has returned to Queensland and is embarking local youth for voyages to Brisbane, Gladstone, Airlie Beach, Cairns, and Mackay over winter. Join a crew of young Australians and embark on a life-changing 11-day journey - learning not only how to sail a square-rigged tall ship, but how to lead, support others and work together as a team.

Each voyage in Young Endeavour is a unique and challenging experience. Bring your sense of adventure and a willingness to push yourself out of your comfort zone - this is your chance to discover new reserves of character, confidence, teamwork and leadership.

By the end of the voyage you and your fellow youth crew will take command of the ship and put your newly developed skills to the test!
