The first half of 2023 has been busy for the World ARC team as they helped more than 60 boats through the Panama Canal and across the Pacific in two waves of the World ARC rally, our round-the-world route.
With the global pandemic putting ocean voyaging 'on hold' for many, the 2023 edition of World ARC was so much in demand that we added a second group who set-off in February, six weeks after the first start.
Group One, the circumnavigators, have now reached Australia where they pause for a while before exploring the Great Barrier Reef and heading to Darwin in Australia's north. Meanwhile, Group Two have reached Fiji for some extended cruising. The second wave of boats will finish their route in Australia, with many opting to lay-up for a season whilst others head south to visit New Zealand in October.
