Ibiza JoySail has become the focal point of the late summer in the Med. The superyacht regatta, promoted by STP Shipyard Palma and Marina Ibiza, is growing year after year and has been invitation-only since last year.

This year, it will feature twenty world-class superyachts, the maximum number set by the organising committee.

Taking place between 19 and 22 September, this regatta, which in just four years has become a firm favourite on the international scene, is all set to provide another year of thrills and spills, thanks also to the support of companies and institutions that have been advocating Ibiza JoySail since day one.

Race logistics

Technical and logistical support is paramount in a competition of this standard. That's why five top-notch technical companies will be present at Ibiza JoySail to service yachts: North Sails, which will have an exclusive marquee for the repair of sails during the event, with a daily pick-up and drop-off service; RigPro, which will cover any type of repair or need with its end-to-end rigging station; Sailmon, which will provide sailing fans with the real-time tracking of the yachts racing in Ibiza JoySail; Global Yachting Ibiza, which will provide a fleet of wonderfully stylish chase boats with a meticulous aesthetic to assist the organising team at sea through media coverage, as well as VIP guests and the race committee itself; and Yacht Moving, which will help teams with the logistics and transfer of tenders, sails, containers and equipment for the competition, making sure that the yachts have their material in the right place at the right time.

First-rate partners

One of the key benefits for the yachts is the availability of Varadero Ibiza right next to Marina Ibiza for urgent repairs, and Monzó Yacht Painting, which boasts extensive experience in painting sailboats. Provisioning will be led by Super Oh, located in the marina itself, while the Marina Ibiza Concierge Service will make sure that everything mentioned is meticulously managed, providing true added value to the event. The concierge team oversees caring for any needs that participants may have.

All this proves that Ibiza JoySail is a world-class yachting event with the partnership of leading companies and an excellent all-round team.

Concern for the environment

Environment and sustainability are also key factors for the race venue, Marina Ibiza, with Repsol as one of the official suppliers thanks to its passionate commitment to the yachting industry with its supply of renewable fuels.

Repsol has a fuel station at Marina Ibiza and will provide its services to contenders and the organisation's boats.

Full shoreside programme

In addition to all the activities out at sea, Ibiza JoySail boasts a huge team of professionals on dry land who will be looking after the teams every need.

The Ibiza JoySail Hospitality Village, with stunning views of Dalt Vila, is the perfect setting for breakfasts and captain's briefings before the start of racing and for sundowners, where crews can unwind after having finished their races. As night falls, leisure and entertainment will gain ground to provide unforgettable moments that will also be remembered as one of the hallmarks of the event.

For the evening parties at Roto and Filin, iconic venues not just of the marina but of the whole of Ibiza, Tequila Don Julio — all the way from Jalisco — will wow revellers, as well as playing a key role in the awards ceremony.

Friends of Ibiza JoySail

The regatta wouldn't be special if it didn't also have the Friends of Ibiza JoySail, a group formed of Southern Wind, Nautor Swan, Michl Marine and Mangusta.

The race also has the pivotal support of Ibiza Travel (the Ibiza Island Council's tourist board) and Ibiza Town Council, which this year is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Dalt Vila being listed as a World Heritage Site. Last, but certainly not least, the event is also supported by the Club Náutico Ibiza, the Real Club Náutico de Palma, ORC and SYRA.

With a maximum number of participating yachts, this fourth edition of Ibiza JoySail will set a standard in the Mediterranean's superyacht racing circuit.
