Kinsale opens entry for the Kildare Innovation Campus Sovereign's Cup 2025

by Michael O'Sullivan 9 Dec 2024 15:39 UTC 25-28 June 2025

Kinsale Yacht Club has reached an important milestone in its preparations for the 2025 Sovereign's Cup, with the publication of the Notice of Race and announcing that it is ready to take entries for the event that will run from the 25th to 28th of June next year.

This edition of the Sovereign's Cup holds special significance, as it will incorporate the 2025 Irish Cruiser Racing Association (ICRA) Nationals, drawing some of the best sailors and crews from across the country and beyond. To encourage early registration, the organisers are offering generous early bird discounts, as well as entry into a prize draw for entries received in December. A key highlight is the decision to offer free entry to all Under-25 boats, underscoring the club's commitment to supporting and fostering youth sailing.

Beyond the racing, Kinsale Yacht Club is committed to making this a superb event both on and off the water, and have a lively social program planned, including live bands playing in the event marquee, lots of dining options and a ladies lunch on Friday afternoon.

The NOR and entry form are now available at www.sovereignscup.com. With a blend of competitive racing and outstanding hospitality, the 2025 Sovereign's Cup promises to be a highlight of the sailing calendar.
