Over 170 RS Aeros have converged on the beautiful Quiberon peninsula in southern Brittany, France for the 7th RS Aero World Championship, combined with the 4th RS Aero Youth World Championship.

The ENVSN is the principal French sailing academy set in beautiful environs with a lovely beach, tranquil setting and both room and camping available on site. The race area of Quiberon Bay offers excellent open sea racing, but with some shelter from the Quiberon Peninsula in case of any Atlantic storms!

17 countries are represented with large teams from the host nation France, the UK, Italy and Australia. The RS Aero Class welcomes Poland and Colombia, who are represented for the first time at an RS Aero World Championship.

Racing is set over 5 days from 29 July - 2 Aug with a 14 race series for the four RS Aero Classes, the RS Aero 5,6,7 & 9. Many family and couple groups are entered in the various rig sizes to share the experience, benefiting from the wide weight range that the RS Aero caters for over its four Classes.

The largest Class this year it the RS Aero 5 with over 60 competitors, followed by the RS Aero 6 with about 50, both are record fleet sizes as the Class continues to grow internationaly. The racing is set to be competitive with many past Worlds medallists returning, the likely leaders are certainly difficult to predict!

The Class is once again continuing to support Ukrainian humanitarian relief at this Championship, to help relieve the suffering which continues in the Ukraine. Competitors may collect a mini Ukrainian sail sticker flag from the event Registration to place on their sail next to their own national flag, as a visual sign of support and solidarity. Competitors can use the QR codes available to make a voluntary donation to the relief charities.

The forecast looks great with fair weather, warm temperatures and something for everyone with a good mix of conditions.
