With still four weeks to go, over 300 delegates have registered for the Marinas26 International Conference and Trade Exhibition (Marinas26).

In a return to the Gold Coast, the event will be held at the Royal Pines Resort on 25 & 26 May 2026. The Pelagic Risk Services Miami Welcome Cocktail Party will kick off proceedings, poolside on Sunday afternoon, which will be well deserved for those who spent the day at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

Commenting on the continued growth of the exhibition component, MIA President, Andrew Chapman AM CMM said, "We are thrilled with the support from industry suppliers. We have over 60 booths available this year, and the scope of products and services on offer continues to expand, underscoring the value of this opportunity for suppliers. We have everything from technology to marinas to bird control; it's probably the best mix we have had."

The event has also attracted significant sponsorship as industry suppliers step up to ensure the delegate experience is memorable, with the traditional industry supporters such as Bellingham Marine, Marine Structures and Nautilus Marine Insurance supporting the event, but also plenty of others. Suzanne Davies, MIA CEO explained, "North Harbour continue to sponsor the most popular networking event of the conference, the Happy Hour and we are very pleased to welcome back Oil Response Company of Australia, Marine Card and Invest Gold Coast. This year Red Dog Gropu has stepped in to sponsor the bar, and Elite Dynamics and Hamilton Island Resort will sponsor breakout rooms. Aerlift has stepped in to provide the always popular coffee!"

Two Media Partners are providing support to the event. Marine Business News is providing dedicated local support, and Marina World is the Global Media Partner which is very important for an event that routinely sees 15-20% of its audience come from abroad.

In a new twist, industry's favourite clothing supplier, Shoreside Clothing will retail from the Shoreside Shop this year, with some unique memorability for delegates to take away as souvenirs.

Given global events in the lead up to the conference and the consequential fuel issues, organisers were concerned there may be some reluctance to travel, but it is clear, that given the event only comes around every two years, that missing it isn't an option. Karen Baldwin, Marians26 Content Committee Chair said, "The interest is understandable, particularly since the program was released. The content is very relevant to marina owners and operators. Discussing issues like the health and forecast for the sector, marina design, redevelopment and maintenance and exploring current issues such as Ai, the program provides information that is useful and highly relevant to maximising opportunity, operational sustainability and mitigating risk. Of course, having a big name like Mark Richards to close the event is an awesome draw card and he is a great speaker. I am very proud of the program and the entire event."

There is still ample time to register and plenty of capacity at the venue. The Royal Pines Resort has now sold out of rooms and accommodation is now being booked at the Mercure Palm Meadows, which is only eight minutes away and a shuttle service will run between to the two hotels.

There will be two Study Tours on Wednesday 27th, one heading to the Whitsundays for two days where delegates will visit three luxury superyacht marinas, Coral Sea Marina, Hayman Island Marina and Hamilton Island Marina.

The local Gold Coast tour will visit the three new superyacht marinas on The Spit, Mantaray Marina & Residences, Main Beach Superyacht Marina and Marina Mirage, before heading to the Coomera precinct to visit The Boatworks, Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard and the Akzo Nobel Paint Training Facility.

Marinas26 is a must attend event for marina owners, operators and industry suppliers. The event remains the most efficient and effective way to meet with suppliers, see the latest range of products and services available on the market, network with industry colleagues, and learn about the latest industry trends, ideas, and issues.
