Scheduled for Thursday 3rd to Sunday 6th September 2026, entries are open for the combined clubs' Butterfield Jersey Regatta for cruiser/racer, sportsboat, dayboat, dinghy and sport-catamaran classes.

This year heralds an exciting new chapter as Butterfield Bank, a leading provider of offshore banking and financial services in the Channel Islands, makes its debut on the local sailing scene as the title sponsor of the 28th edition of this 'flagship' event.

Running within the Regatta programme, the 13th GBR IRC Channel Islands Championship, supported by renowned sail-maker and sailing gear manufacturer North Sails is open to all local and visiting IRC-rated cruiser/racers.

From Friday through to Sunday, cruiser classes, racing with IRC or YTC ratings, will compete in the stunning natural arena of St Aubin's Bay and adjacent coastal waters. Meanwhile, the small boat classes will battle it out on laid courses in the Bay under an independent race management team.

The race programme provides standalone racing with prizes and trophies for all classes on Friday, effectively a warm-up and familiarisation day. Saturday and Sunday's races count not only for daily prizes and trophies but the for the overall class championship prizes and IRC Championship prizes, too.

Off the water, the Regatta offers a vibrant social programme:

  • Thursday: Ice-breaker reception and briefing at St Helier Yacht Club (SHYC)
  • Friday: Post-race supper at the Royal Channel Islands Yacht Club (RCIYC)
  • Saturday: The ever-lively Regatta Party at the RCIYC
  • Sunday: Bumper prize-giving ceremony and supper at SHYC
Excluding Saturday's party, all social events are included in a boat's entry fee. Additionally, Jersey Marinas, keen supporters since the first edition in 1999, are providing complimentary berthing during Regatta week. Although the event is a 'full on' experience, inspiration for passing any spare time may be found at www.jersey.com.

Regatta Chairman Bill Harris said: "The Jersey Regatta has built a super reputation over the past 27years and we are well on track to deliver another exceptional event in September. This Regatta is open to all and promises keen competition and excellent camaraderie between our home fleet and sailors joining from our sister islands, the UK and France'. We are delighted to welcome and warmly thank Butterfield Bank for their keen and generous sponsorship. Our sincere thanks also go to Jersey Marinas and North Sails for their support, all of which helps to make this great celebration of our sport possible."

Skippers will find the Notice of Race and entry instructions at www.jerseyregatta.com. Early bird discounts are available until Friday 21st August. Standard fees apply, thereafter, until entries officially close on Tuesday 1st September.

Further information is available through the Regatta office or by phone on + 44 1534 732229.
